Develop your teaching staff
Access the best teaching talent and nurture and develop your existing staff with our tailored, fully funded Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship programme.
Our Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship programme
Whether you’re looking to recruit new teachers, upskill your existing team or help members of your support staff transition into teaching roles, our PGTA programme can solve your recruitment and training challenges.
Orange Moon Education’s PGTA is a fully funded teacher training programme that provides university graduates with an alternative route to Qualified Teacher Status without having to study for a PGCE.
As an education provider, our PGTA will give your school a cost-effective way to build your team’s capacity, ‘grow your own’ staff and mould your apprentice teachers around your mission, values, culture and working practices.
We can tailor the programme around your organisation’s needs to help develop well-rounded and inspiring teachers with all the skills, knowledge and expertise they need to help your pupils reach their full potential. We believe this holistic approach helps raise standards in the industry, leading to improved outcomes for children of all ages.

About our PGTA
Orange Moon Training upholds the highest standards of teacher training, so we can fulfil our ambition for all our trainees to achieve Good or Outstanding Qualified Teacher Status and complete the overall PGTA with a Merit or Distinction.
As well as ensuring they achieve QTS status, it will equip them with the skills and experience they need to:
Grow your own
Maximise the full potential of your teachers by enrolling them on a PGTA tailored around your exact requirements.
Build the capacity of your teaching team by allowing them to train while they teach and gain the skills they need to succeed.
Training costs of up to £9,000 are covered by the Apprenticeship Levy, leaving nothing to pay for the apprentice or employer
Funding of up to £15,000 is available for eligible schools to support the costs of employing a trainee in priority subjects including maths, physics, chemistry and computing.
PGTA funding options
Our PGTA programme can be funded in full by your Apprenticeship Levy allocation. Funding can be used towards training, not wages, and must be committed within 24 months. You can use your Apprenticeship Levy allocation to fill critical skill gaps in your business and invest in staff learning and development to boost employee morale, help recruitment and improve staff retention.
